Are you still working during the pandemic?

Yes, we are still providing free virtual and onsite estimates.

What types of surfaces can you coat?

We are able to professionally coat a variety of bare concrete surfaces including garage floors, driveways, walkways, patios, and pool decks. We are not able to coat surfaces such as tile, wood, brick, or pavers, etc.

Are you able to coatarge outdoor bar/bbq concrete countertops?

What areas do you serve?

We service all of the Santa Clarita Valley, Simi Valley, Conejo Valley, most of Ventura County and the Greater Los Angeles Areas.

What is the cost per square foot?

Cost per square foot largely depends on the assessment the estimator conducts to collect the moisture reading level and linear feet of cracks. Other factors that are included in the assessment are the amount of prep work that needs to be completed before we coat your concrete. That is why we offer free on-site estimates to provide our customers with an accurate cost.

Why can’t you provide me with a ballpark estimate right now?

Every project and concrete surface is different. Cracks or pitting that require additional prep work can affect the price, which is why we can’t provide a starting point without first visually inspecting your concrete.

What’s the process? How is the coating applied?

We use 600 lb floor grinders to profile the concrete, followed by crack and pit filling with a concrete mender. We need to make the concrete porous by resurfacing with grinders and then applying the polyurea base coat. From there, our installers will apply the colored chips you’ve chosen for look/texture/slip resistance. Upon curing we apply the clear polyaspartic topcoat for the job to be warrantied.

How soon can the new floor be exposed to water or heavier items?

The surface can be walked on and small items can be moved back onto the surface within 24 hours. Avoid water or moving heavier items onto your concrete for a full 48 hours.

We just had concrete poured. How long does it need to dry before applying a coating?

The concrete needs to be below a 6% moisture level. This is usually the case 2 – 4 weeks after a new pour.

Do we move personal items out of the garage?

You are responsible for moving personal items out of your garage before our crew can begin work. Most customers put items in a side yard or in a storage pod. We can offer some recommendations on companies that will move or store items. Some clients use this as a time and opportunity to do some cleaning and organizing!

Can you tell me more about your business?

Since 2010, ALLBRiGHT has offered the most advanced concrete floor coating technologies available on the market. Our products are designed for ultimate durability and style, and we offer a wide variety of colors and finishes to exactly meet the look and feel you want. Most floor coatings are water based epoxy systems that harden with time and can become brittle in as little as two years, leading to cracks in your floor. Our polyurea floor coatings are 4x stronger than epoxy, will not chip or peel and offer the absolute best in form and function. Your new floor will provide decades of value. That’s why we proudly offer a 15-year residential warranty.

Is there a warranty?

Yes! Our floor coatings come with a 15-year residential warranty.

What does your warranty cover?

The warranty covers any chipping, peeling, or delaminating

How is your product different from what I can buy at Home Depot?

The floor coating products available at Home Depot will last about 1-2 years before needing to be recoated or replaced. Our product is made in Minnesota, cannot be purchased by the public, and can only be applied by professional trained and certified dealers. Unlike traditional floor coatings, our product bonds directly into the concrete and whereas epoxy doesn’t. That’s why we’re able to offer up to a 15-year residential warranty. For examples of failed epoxy, see pictures below.

Can a coating be applied on top of a slate tile garage floor?

Our floor coatings products are for concrete only. We can coat driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks, laundry rooms and more. We need to make the concrete porous by resurfacing w/ grinders and then applying the polyurea base coat, then the colored chips for look/texture/slip resistance and upon curing we apply the clear polyaspartic top coat for the job to be warrantied.

Do your floors provide a smooth finish like epoxy?

Our floor coatings look and feel just like an epoxy finish plus a little grit for slip-resistance!

Is polyurea less expensive than epoxy? What's the difference?

Our polyurea floor coatings do cost more. However, polyurea is a much better product than epoxy. Unlike epoxy, polyurea bonds directly into the concrete whereas epoxy doesn’t. Polyurea also won’t crack, chip, or peel. That’s why we confidently offer a 15-year residential warranty.

What are the benefits of a polyurea floor coating?

Benefits and features you can expect with a floor coating from ALLBRiGHT include:

  • Fast cure times and reduced outgassing that allow for easy, one-day installation
  • Abrasion- and chemical-resistant surfaces for maximum protection
  • 100% solid, pre-tinted options for patio resurfacing
  • Wide variety of customizable colors and styles
  • Installation from certified and trained flooring experts
  • Slip-resistant texture options for additional safety and security
  • Protection of a 15-year product warranty

Our floor coating products will significantly improve the look and functionality of any area of your home.

Do you acid wash to prepare the concrete?

We do not acid wash or use other harmful chemicals to prepare the concrete for our proprietary and long-lasting coatings. We use our 600 lb grinders that are hooked up to our triple HEPA filtered vacuums to remove unwanted stains and other finishes on your concrete.

What happens if I spill grease on my coated concrete?

That’s a great question! Anything that falls on the floor can be easily wiped up with a clean rag and a little soap and water.

What is the upkeep?

There is no upkeep beyond just keeping your concrete clean with soap and water or mild cleaning solvents.

Will my new coating get hot tire pick up? Will there be a reaction to heat?

Hot tire pick up is primarily a problem when poor-quality, water-based epoxy kits are used. These kits have very low tolerance for heat. Hot tire pick up can also be an issue when the concrete isn’t prepared correctly.

Our proprietary polyurea and polyaspartic basecoat and topcoat will tolerate more than 200 degrees of heat/temperature. The heat transfer of hot car tires is often above 120 degrees and so not a concern with our product, but often a problem for others that use or have epoxy. Our coatings are also cooler on bare feet than concrete, which makes it a great option for pool decks or patios.

Is your product slip resistant?

Our coatings are cooler on bare feet than concrete, 100% UV stable, and stain and slip-resistant for additional safety and security.

What chip color options are available?

We offer a variety of chip colors that can be mixed and matched to exactly match the look and feel that you want for your floor. You can browse our most popular chip colors on our website here: https://www.allbrightconcretecoatings.com/

I have concrete that has severe cracks, will this be a problem?

There are projects where cracks are too severe. If this is a concern, you can send us pictures of your concrete for an estimator to evaluate. For minor cracks, we clean out any loose concrete and then apply our concrete mender (stronger than concrete). Then we resurface and apply more mender if or as needed. This is followed by the addition of polyurea and polyaspartic base coats and topcoats that have a high degree of elasticity or give.

How thick of a coat is it?

The thickness of your coating will depend on the chip and finish you select. For most projects, the coating is only a few millimeters thick.
